Intellectual vs. Emotional decisions because they got into

Choosing between intellectual and emotional decisions is hard sometimes, especially if someone relies more on their emotion than their intellect or the other way around. A doctor is a person who must always rely on their intellectual decisions instead of their emotional decisions. They always have to make important decisions on what is going to be best for patients and not let their emotions get in the way. Doctors have to avoid having sympathy for patients because they have to do what is best for the patient and not think about how that patient might feel about being sick or having a deathly disease.

Doctors always have to be alert and they have to think about the cause and effects. An example would be a patient who needs to have surgery because they got into a severe accident and without the surgery the person could die. The doctor does not stop and think about how the person might feel about the situation, they just know they need to do the surgery in order for the patient to live. The doctor knows that doing the surgery will benefit the paients life, but he does not think about how the patient might be scared or how the patient might need some reasurrance that the surgery will go okay.

A positive consequence of relying more on intellect than emotions is always thinking things through and staying focused on what needs to be done. A negative consequence is coming off as rude and disregarding someone elses feelings. Also someone could become less sociable and less close to family and friends.
